Soakaways and Drainage

We are specialists in all forms of underground drainage systems which are crucial in garden projects to be successful. Soakaway installation is a process of constructing an underground drainage system designed to manage surface water runoff effectively.

It is commonly used to handle rainwater or excess water from various sources, such as lawns, driveways, and paved areas. The main purpose of a soakaway is to prevent flooding, waterlogging, and the buildup of excess water on the ground’s surface.

Domestic Drain Excavation

Pipes become damaged for various reasons which include:

• The type of material that the pipes are made - e.g. pitch fibre is not as durable as other materials.

or

• Large root ingress into the pipes which have infiltrated through a gap quite often at a joint between two segments.

However, there are occasions when the pipes become damaged so severely that the only option is excavation and repair.

Excavations are necessary when:

• A pipe has collapsed.

• Deformation of the pipe is more than 30% of its original size.

• A no dig repair will suffice.

• The pipe is old and in need of being replaced.

The excavation process can sometimes be quite lengthy as factors have to be considered such as how deep the pipe is from the surface, is it soft ground or hard ground that needs to be dug up and is there anything obstructing the dig such as a garage, etc.

However, once all the factors have been considered a trench would be dug up exposing the pipes; to do this it will either be by a mini digger or manually. The pipe will then be repaired and the trench back-filled and left in exactly the same way we found it pre excavation – so if you have turf on top then this would be re-laid.

We have highly trained engineers who have carried out many excavations in a variety of environments so you can be confident that you have the very best professionals carrying out work for you.

UPVC and clay drainage systems are also installed and repaired. Construction of traditional inspection chambers, installation of UPVC inspection chambers.
